On Campus Interview Availability
This site shows on-campus interview availability by date. It is only intended to help you plan your visit to campus. You can register for on-campus interviews via our Campus Visits calendar.
Interviews for CMC are evaluative and are a part of your application. Interviews at Claremont McKenna College begin in the lobby of the Kravis Center and generally last 30-45 minutes. Interviews on campus are conducted by trained seniors at the college or by admission officers. Interviews are a two-way street; we get to learn more about you and you get to learn more about us in a one-on-one setting. Interviews are optional* and not required for admission.
- Prospective students may only interview once. If you've already registered or attended an interview, regardless of format and/or location, please plan on submitting the optional admission video instead.
- *Homeschool applicants are required to interview
- In lieu of an on-campus interview, international applicants whose primary language is not English are strongly encouraged to complete an InitialView or Vericant interview, which include a timed writing sample. All interviews are evaluative and weighed equally in the admission process.
First-Year Interviews
- On-campus interviews are available September through November.
- Early Decision I applicants should plan to interview by November 1.
Transfer Interviews
- On-campus interviews are currently not available to transfer students applying for the Fall 2025 admission cycle.

Unable to secure an on-campus interview? Here are your options:
- Register for a virtual interview, arrange an alumni interview (first-year applicants only, through mid-December), or see if our admission officers are interviewing in your area (first-year applicants only, through November). All interviews are evaluative and weighed equally in the admission process.
- Submit the optional admission video response on your applicant portal. Applicants who interview may submit the video response as well.
